2011 will be remembered in the history books as a year of revolutionary change and struggle around the world. From Egypt and Tunisia to Greece, Spain and now Chile, the working classes of the world are expressing their bitterness at declining living standards, attacks on unions, and a whole range of other grievances.
But what about here in the U.S.? Is there something different about the U.S. that prevents resistance from reaching the scale it has in other countries?
Join the Rochester branch of the International Socialist Organization for a discussion of these questions, the history of American radicalism, and the potential for working class revolution in the US.
